Cook Committed Suicide: On Thursday morning, a cook who used to prepare food in the mess of District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Thawe in Gopalganj, Bihar committed suicide. She hanged herself from the fan in the room by making a noose of her dupatta. The name of the deceased cook is Radhika Kumari, who was the 18-year-old daughter of late Amarjeet Ram, a resident of Vrindavan Mauje village of Uchkagaon police station area. On receiving information about the incident, the police of Thawe police station reached the spot, where the door of the room was found locked from inside.

Forensic team investigated after the incident

On the arrival of the forensic team, the police broke the door and investigated. After forensic investigation, the police took the body into custody and sent it to Sadar Hospital for postmortem. At the same time, a dupatta noose and the mobile of the deceased have been recovered from the room near the fan. It is said that residential training of teachers is going on in Diet Thawe. Radhika Kumari and other girls were hired to work as cooks to prepare food here.

Radhika lived in the room next to the one where the food was being cooked. There were other girls with her, who woke up on Thursday morning as usual and went to the kitchen, but Radhika sent everyone away saying that she would wake up in a little while. After a while, when three friends reached Radhika's room to call her for food, they found the door locked from inside. When there was no response after knocking on the door for a long time, they suspected something untoward and when the girls peeped through the ventilator, they found a dead body hanging from the fan. 

'Underage girls are being made to work'

It is said that Radhika Kumari made a video of herself on her mobile before committing suicide. She committed suicide after that. After getting the information, the forensic team reached the spot. The forensic team collected the pieces of dupatta and clothes while investigating. The police is investigating every point. Till the time of writing the news, the family members had not given an application in the police station. However, the teachers taking training say that there is a lot of mismanagement in the training institute. Underage girls are being made to work here, while the girls working as cooks are of school-going age. The principal of the institute also does not say anything on this. On the other hand, there was an uproar among the family members after the death of the girl.
