Chennai. The NIA on Sunday raided 10 places in five districts of Tamil Nadu. During this, two people were arrested. The NIA has taken this action in the Hizb-ut-Tahrir case. The arrested accused are members of the Islamic fundamentalist organization Hizb-ut-Tahrir. Their aim is to establish an Islamic nation.

Also, they have to work to implement the constitution written by Hizb-ut-Tahrir founder Taqi al-Din al-Nabhani. According to the NIA, the arrested accused have been identified as Abdul Rahman and Mujibur Rahman alias Mujibur Rahman Altham Sahib. Both are residents of Thanjavur district.

NIA investigation revealed that they were involved in running secret centres to indoctrinate youth in radical ideologies and propagate anti-Islamic views against democracy and the Indian Constitution, law and judiciary etc.

The agency seized mobile phones, laptops, SIM cards and memory cards and several incriminating documents during the raid. These include books and printouts on Hizb-ut-Tahrir, Khilafa, Islamic State and the proposed Khilafa government and its ideology.
