More than 300 people, including civilians and soldiers, have been killed due to clashes and bombing. The situation has turned into a humanitarian crisis and thousands of people have fled. Hayat Tahrir al-Sham has been declared a terrorist organization by the US, Russia, Turkey and other countries.

The rebel attacks forced the Syrian army to redeploy. The army described the rebel attacks as the biggest attack so far. International response

The White House's National Security Council (NSC) said that the Assad government's refusal to participate in the political process and its dependence on Russia-Iran has fueled this crisis. The foreign ministers of Russia and Turkey discussed the situation in Syria and agreed on the need for joint action to stabilize it. At the same time, Iran called this conflict an Israeli-American conspiracy to destabilize the region.
