Summer has started in the country. However, different forms of weather are being seen all over India. Scorching heat is occurring in some states, while in some parts of the country, the weather remains cool due to rain and snowfall.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan today i.e. on the 21st of April. Heatwave alerts have been issued in West Bengal, Telangana, Bihar, and Jharkhand. Apart from this, there are chances of snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. 

According to the country's
weather forecasting agency Skymet, a western disturbance in the form of a cyclonic circulation is persisting over northern Pakistan and surrounding areas. However, the trough formed aloft in mid and upper tropospheric winds at 5.8 km now moves north of 30°N latitude along 68°E longitude. The induced cyclonic circulation is over Pakistan and adjoining Punjab.

Apart from this, another cyclonic circulation is formed over the central part of Assam. A trough extends from northwest Bihar to the cyclonic circulation over central Assam. A cyclonic circulation has formed over Marathwada. There is a trough/dissection of air from the cyclone circulation from Marathwada to interior Karnataka to South Tamil Nadu. A cyclonic circulation has formed over the south-east of the Bay of Bengal. 

Weather of Delhi:
Winds may blow during the daytime in Delhi on 21st April. The Meteorological Department says that there is a possibility of light rain in Delhi on April 22, after which the temperature in the capital may cross 40 degrees Celsius.

According to IMD, the maximum temperature in Delhi can remain between 39 to 41 degrees Celsius this entire week. The minimum temperature is likely to be between 23 to 25 degrees Celsius. 

Weather conditions of the country:
According to weather forecasting agency Skymet, during the next 24 hours, between April 21 and 26, there may be rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. On April 21, there may be sporadic rain with thunder, lightning, and strong winds (30-40 km per hour) in North Punjab, and North Haryana, and on April 22, there may be rain and thunder in Western Rajasthan.

Apart from this, light to moderate rain and strong winds are possible in North-East India between 20th to 24th April. Light to moderate rain may occur in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on April 21 and 22. Light rain is possible in Central Maharashtra and Marathwada between April 21 and 22 and in Konkan and Goa on April 21-22. There may be sporadic rainfall in Kerala, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Interior Karnataka.
