Sultanpur Encounter: The district administration has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the death of a robbery accused in a police encounter on September 5 in Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh. However, many questions are being raised on this encounter and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has reacted. On Sunday, CM Yogi Adityanath has responded to Akhilesh Yadav's statement.

CM Yogi responded to the Sultanpur encounter while addressing a public meeting in Ambedkar Nagar on Sunday. He said, 'In the SP government, the bigger the goon, the bigger was his position. If a dacoit is killed in an encounter, SP feels bad. They did not know that the public will stretch their arms, these goons and mafia will depart for the journey to Yamlok one by one and the injustice done to the public will be avenged.'

Earlier, Akhilesh Yadav had written on the social media platform X, "It seems that the ruling party had deep connections with the people involved in the Sultanpur robbery, that is why before the fake encounter, the 'main accused' was contacted and made to surrender and other people from the ruling party were shot only on their feet and killed on the basis of their 'caste'."

What did the SP chief say?

He further said that when the main accused has surrendered, then all the looted goods should be returned and the government should give compensation separately, because the mental trauma caused by such incidents takes a lot of time to recover from, which leads to loss of business, which should be compensated by the government.

Akhilesh Yadav had said, "Fake encounters turn protectors into predators. The solution is not fake encounters but real law and order. BJP rule is the Amritkaal of criminals. Till the public pressure and anger does not reach its peak, the work of sharing in the loot continues and when it seems that the public will surround them, then fake encounters are shown as a superficial balm. The public understands how some people are saved and how others are implicated."

On the other hand, confirming the order of magisterial inquiry, Sultanpur ADM Administration Gaurav Shukla said that Sub-Divisional Magistrate Lambhua has been nominated for magisterial inquiry in the case of death of criminals Mangesh and Kumbhe in an encounter with STF under Kotwali Dehat police station area on September 5. He has been instructed to submit his report within 15 days.
