Jhansi News Today: The jailor of Jhansi district jail in Uttar Pradesh was seriously injured in the attack by assailants riding in a car with sticks and rods on Saturday (14 December) afternoon in Navabad police station area. Police said that he has been admitted to the district hospital for treatment.

According to the information received, at the time of the incident, Jailor Kasturi Lal Gupta was going to Hyderabad for training. During this time, a constable was also with him. The constable also suffered minor injuries while saving the jailor in this attack. The miscreants who attacked also reached the spot in a four-wheeler.

According to the police, this attack
was carried out by the sons of history-sheeter Kamlesh Yadav, who was earlier lodged in Jhansi jail. Kamlesh Yadav has recently been shifted from the district jail to another place. A total of 32 cases are registered against history-sheeter Kamlesh Yadav.

Station House Officer (SHO) of Jhansi district's Navabad police station Dipendra Kumar Singh told the media that at around 12:30 pm on Saturday, Jhansi jail's jailor Kasturi Lal Gupta (50) was travelling in his private car when some assailants stopped him and pulled him out of the car. During this, they beat the jailor and his car driver with sticks.

SHO of Navabad police station Dipendra Kumar Singh said that as soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and the injured jailor was admitted to the district hospital. According to the police, the jailor has suffered serious injuries in this incident.

Jailor's hand fractured
Jhansi SP City Gyanendra Kumar said that some unknown miscreants attacked Jhansi Jail's Jailor Kasturi Gupta with sticks today, due to which her hand got fractured. He said that the Jailor is undergoing treatment in the District Hospital. 

SP City Gyanendra Kumar said that investigation has revealed that history-sheeter Kamlesh Yadav's boys have attacked the jailor as part of a conspiracy. Kamlesh Yadav has recently been shifted from Jhansi jail to another jail. He said that a case has been registered in this matter, they will be identified and strict action will be taken soon.
