Mumbai. Shashi Tharoor News A statement by senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor regarding other parties has increased political turmoil. Tharoor has agreed with the views of some people on the possible merger of small parties with the Congress. Addressing a press conference, Tharoor said that as far as alliance or merger of smaller parties with Congress is concerned, I think if the ideology is the same then what is the need to separate? Let's see what happens.
Let us tell you that in an interview to a newspaper, Sharad Pawar had predicted that many regional parties may merge with the Congress in the next few years.
Many parties will join the opposition alliance after the elections
Tharoor termed as unnecessary the statement of Prime Minister Modi in which he had asked Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray to join Ajit Pawar and Eknath Shinde. Tharoor further said that the parties which have not yet joined the opposition alliance will do so after the results of the Lok Sabha elections are declared.
PM Modi had said this
Addressing an election campaign rally on Friday, Modi had advised the Pawar-led NCP (SP) and the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (Uttar Pradesh) to join hands with Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
Sharad Pawar immediately hit back at the Prime Minister, saying he would not form an alliance with those who do not believe in parliamentary democracy which is under threat because of Modi.
