A police officer said that the truck fell on the car due to which the car was badly damaged and the bodies of the people sitting in it were badly mutilated. According to the information given by the police, this accident took place in Nelamangala near Talekere on the outskirts of Bengaluru. According to police sources, the deceased have been identified as Chandrayagappa Gaul (48), Gaurabai (42), Vijayalakshmi (36), John (16), Diksha (12) and Arya (six).

Truck driver Arif, who hails from Jharkhand, said, "There was a car in front of my truck and the car driver suddenly applied brakes due to which I lost control over my vehicle. At that time I was driving the truck at a speed of 40 kilometers per hour. To save the car, I turned the steering towards the divider on the right side of the road. But then I saw another car and I again turned the truck to the left. Due to this the truck overturned, the truck was loaded with steel goods."

The police statement has also come out regarding this accident. According to the police, the truck driver was not aware that a car was crushed under his truck. This incident is being investigated by a Deputy Superintendent level officer. A detailed investigation is being conducted to find out the cause of the accident.
