Waqf Board lawyer BS Thakur said, "A notice was issued to the Himachal Pradesh Waqf Board by the Shimla Municipal Corporation regarding unauthorized construction. We have submitted the reply and documents to the court. The issue related to the construction is under consideration."
BS Thakur said, "Today the court asked about the ownership and through documentary evidence we told the court that in 1947 when Waqf properties were surveyed all over India, the mosque was the property of the Waqf Board. The concerned officials will file a status report of the property. We will file a reply on the next date of hearing on October 5. The issue related to illegal construction is pending before the court. The court will take a decision on this."
