Now recently Shekhar Suman has expressed his reaction on the criticism the series is receiving from Pakistan and has responded to those who are questioning its authenticity.

Shekhar Suman said-Pakistan is getting jealous

When Hiramandi was released on Netflix on May 1, many people criticized it, saying that 'Hiramandi' did not show the real struggle of the prostitutes living there, but only tried to portray them in a glamorous way.

The series also received criticism from Pakistanis, to which Shekhar Suman has now responded. While talking to Bollywood Hungama, he said,

"Some people of the neighbouring country are jealous of the fact that why did they make this web series? Brother, you could have made it and why are you discussing our 'Heeramandi', we don't talk about your films. We don't even know whether you have made anything or not".

Hiramandi will have a second season

Let us tell you that in Hiramandi , Shekhar Suman played the role of Nawab Zulfiqar, who is Manisha Koirala's sahab. His son Adhyayan Suman has played his younger version in it and along with that he has also played the role of Nawab Zorawar.
