For some time now, the trend of re-releasing films in theatres has started. Recently, Shah Rukh Khan's film Kal Ho Na Ho was re-released in theatres. People are giving as much love to this film on re-release as they did at that time. But do you know that during the shooting of this film, something happened that made them back out from it.
'Kal Ho Na Ho' was directed by director Nikhil Advani. Nikhil narrated the story in an interview given to Mirchi Plus. He told how Shahrukh Khan called Karan Johar regarding this film and said that he did not want to work in it.
Shah Rukh had taken such a decision regarding the film
The filmmaker revealed that Shah Rukh Khan was shooting the famous diary scene of the film at that time. Initially it was shot differently which was later changed. Later it was re-shot at a railway station. After shooting the scene, the actor felt that he could not continue the shooting and he needed immediate medical help. Nikhil said,
King Khan was on bed rest for 6 months
The reason for his withdrawal from this film was his back injury which had worsened. Due to the injury, he had to immediately go to Germany where he underwent surgery. It took Shah Rukh 6 months to recover from his back injury. In such a situation, the actor thought that the makers would not wait for him. But Nikhil and Karan Johar decided to wait till he recovered and then the film was completed.
