This is how you can immerse your ancestors

On the day of Sarvapitre Amavasya, wake up early in the morning and take a bath in a holy river. If this is not possible, you can also take a bath at home by mixing Gangajal in the water. After this, perform tarpan and pinddaan for the ancestors. Also, on this day, offer shraddha prasad for Panchbali i.e. cow, dog, crow, god and ant.

After this, according to your capacity, feed 1, 3 or 5 Brahmins. After this, send off the Brahmins by giving them donations as per your capacity. Kheer Puri must be made in the offering of Sarva Pitru Amavasya. By keeping all these things in mind, our ancestors return to Pitralok after being satisfied and bless us with happiness and prosperity.

keep these things in mind

On Sarvapitri Amavasya, one should not consume non-vegetarian food even by mistake and neither should one go to the cremation ground or any deserted place on this day. Because it is believed that negative forces become stronger on Amavasya Tithi. Brahmacharya should be followed on this Tithi. If these things are not taken care of, the ancestors can get angry, due to which the person may have to face negative effects.
