Republic Day Celebrations: Only a week is left for the Republic Day celebrations and the preparations for it are now in their final stages. While the full dress rehearsal for the parade to be held in the ceremony has also started from Friday and it will continue till January 21. Delhi Traffic Police has also issued an advisory regarding this.

According to the advisory issued, it has been advised to stay away from the parade route from 10:15 am to 12:30 pm till January 21. For the smooth conduct of the parade, traffic will be restricted along with diversion on some routes under special traffic arrangements. For which the traffic police has also suggested some alternative routes.

Traffic restrictions will be imposed on these routes

According to Delhi Traffic Police, during this period, traffic restrictions will be imposed on some roads, including Kartavyapath - Rafi Marg Crossing, Kartavyapath - Janpath Crossing, Kartavyapath - Mansingh Road Crossing and Kartavyapath - C-Hexagon.

In addition, some alternative routes have also been suggested for those travelling in different directions, which include:

- North to South and vice versa- Ring Road, Sarai Kale Khan IP Flyover, Rajghat, Lajpat Rai Marg, Mathura Road, Bhaiton Road, Aurobindo Marg, Safdarjung Road, RML, Baba Kharak Singh Marg, Kamal Atartuk Marg, Kautilya Marg, Sardar Patel Marg, Mother Teresa Crescent, Prithviraj Road, Rajesh Pilot Marg, Subramanyam Bharti Marg, Mathura Road, Bhairon Todd, Ring Road, Barfkhana, Azad Market, Rani Jhansi Flyover, Pachkuiyan Road, Hanuman Statue, Vande Mataram Marg, Dhaula Kuan.

- East to West and vice versa- Ring Road, Bhairon Road, Mathura Road, Kamal Atartuk Marg, Subramanyam Bharti Marg, Rajesh Pilot Marg, Prithviraj Road, Safdarjung Road, Panchsheel Marg, Simon Bolivar Marg, Upper Ridge Road, Vande Mataram Marg.

- East to South West Delhi- Ring Road, Vande Mataram Marg.

- From South Connaught Place, Central Secretariat - Mother Teresa Crescent, Park Street, Mandir Marg, Baba Kharak Singh Marg, Ring Road, Vande Mataram Marg, Link Road, Panchkuan Road, Sardar Patel Marg, Marg 11 Statue, Mother Teresa Crescent, R/A RML North Avenue or Baba Kharak Singh Marg.

Appeal to drivers

Traffic restrictions will be imposed on these roads from 10.15 am to 12.30 pm. Drivers are requested to follow traffic rules, maintain patience and follow the instructions of the traffic police.
