Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama is a 1993 Japanese-Indian anime film. Finally, this film has got a release date in Indian theaters. This animated film was earlier scheduled to be released in 4K format on October 18, 2024. But now it will be released on January 24, 2025.

 

How did the film get so much popularity?

It will be released in the original English version along with new dubs in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Ramayan: The Legend of Prince Rama is distributed across India by Geek Pictures India, AA Films and Excel Entertainment. 'Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama' was screened in India at the 24th International Film Festival of India in 1993 but was not released in theatres. It was then shown on TV channels in 2000 after which it became popular among Indian audiences.

 

Vijayendra Prasad has made many changes

Filmmaker SS Rajamouli's father and veteran screenwriter V Vijayendra Prasad has made several creative changes in the film. He is known for blockbuster films like Kabir Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015) and Rajamouli's Baahubali franchise and RRR (2022) and their global success.

 

When will the trailer of the film come?

The new trailer of Ramayan: The Legend of Prince Rama will be released online on Thursday, January 10. The film is directed by Yugo Sako, Ram Mohan and Koichi Sasaki. In the first Hindi version of the film, Ramayan star Arun Govil voiced the character of Ram while Namrata Sahni voiced Sita and late Amrish Puri voiced Ravana. Veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha played the role of the narrator. Currently, fans are excited about the new release date.

 

Apart from this, Nitesh Tiwari is also making an adaptation of Ramayana in which Ranbir Kapoor will be seen acting as Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravan. It will be released in theaters in two parts on Diwali 2026 and Diwali 2027.
