Rajasthan News: Police has arrested Sehwag Rathore in the fake lease case of Jawal Municipality of Sirohi district. On May 10, 2024, the then Executive Officer of Jawal Municipality Mahendra Kumar Rajpurohit had given a written report to Barluut police station. He had told that he was working as the Executive Officer of Municipality Jawal from 22 November 2022 to 19 February 2024. During his tenure, he had also issued leases under different laws.

The last lease was issued on 6 October 2023 under the State Grant Act. No lease was issued from 6 October after the code of conduct for assembly elections was imposed in Rajasthan. During this time he was transferred to Shivganj Nagar Palika. On 8 May 2024, a letter was received from the Executive Officer of Nagar Palika Jawal. In the letter, fake signatures of the chairman and him were made on lease number 355 dated 13 October 2023 issued to Vikas son Mohanlal Mali resident Jawal. Therefore, the records were inspected by going to the Nagar Palika office Jawal.

Police got success in fake lease case of Nagar Palika

Information came to light that the lease file and other documents are not registered in Nagar Palika Jawal and the signatures on the lease are fake and forged. The concerned lease has neither been issued by me nor have I ever signed that lease.

The report said that the leases were obtained by signing fake and forged documents without their knowledge and consent. Barluut police registered a case and started investigation. The issued leases were examined by FSL. The leases were found to be fake in the FSL report. The police arrested Sehwag Rathod on charges of issuing fake leases.
