Russian President Vladimir Putin (President Putin India Visit) will soon visit India amid the Russia-Ukraine war . Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Thursday confirmed that Russian President Vladimir Putin is going to visit India. However, he did not reveal the exact date.
Lavrov said India is currently arranging the visit of the Russian President. The conference is being jointly organised by the Indian Embassy in Russia and the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC). The Russian Foreign Minister said Putin will visit India at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"Russian President Vladimir Putin has accepted the invitation to meet the head of the Indian government. The visit of the Russian head of state to the Republic of India is currently being prepared," Lavrov said.
Putin is coming to India for the first time after winning the presidential election

However, the dates of the visit have not been disclosed yet. Prime Minister Modi will visit Russia in July 2024, his first visit to the country in nearly five years. Earlier, he visited the Far Eastern city of Vladivostok to attend an economic conference in 2019.

In July last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Russia at the invitation of Russian President Putin to attend the 22nd India-Russia Annual Summit.
