Vadodara: Spanish President Pedro Sanchez arrived in Vadodara, Gujarat on Sunday night. His plane landed at Vadodara airport at around 1:30 am. Spanish President Pedro has arrived on an official visit to India for the first time. Before returning to Spain, he will also visit the country's financial capital Mumbai on Tuesday.

The road show will be 2.5 km long

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Spanish President Pedro Sanchez will jointly inaugurate Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) in Vadodara on Monday morning. Sanchez will also do a road show with PM Modi for about 2.5 km from the airport to the Tata plant. Cultural programs will be organized during this time.

Bilateral talks will be held at Laxmi Vilas Palace

Both the leaders will also visit the historic Laxmi Vilas Palace in Vadodara. Here they will participate in a bilateral meeting organized by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). According to officials, lunch has been arranged at the palace itself. According to the program shared by the Ministry of External Affairs, Sanchez will leave for Spain at around 12:30 am on Wednesday.

40 aircraft will be manufactured in Vadodara

TAS will manufacture C-295 aircraft at Tata's plant in Vadodara. This is the first private sector final assembly line for military aircraft in India. Under the agreement, 40 aircraft will be manufactured at the Vadodara plant.

These companies will contribute to the project 

At the same time, the leading aviation company Airbus will directly deliver 16 aircraft. Apart from Tata, major defense public sector units like Bharat Electronics and Bharat Dynamics and private micro, small and medium enterprises will contribute to this project. In October 2022, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the final assembly line in Vadodara.

Preparations for the welcome are complete

Vadodara has been decorated like a bride to welcome the President of Spain. All preparations for the welcome have been completed. Decorations have been done on both sides of the road from the airport to the Tata plant. The shape of the aircraft C 295 has also been carved on the way. PM Modi and the President of Spain will be welcomed with cultural programs. Please note that the C-295 aircraft is a military aircraft.
