During Pitru Paksha (Pitru Paksha 2024), Tarpan and Shradh of ancestors must be done. During this period, after taking bath daily, water should be offered to Sun God and ancestors. It is a religious belief that by doing this, the ancestors are pleased and the person gets the blessings of happiness and prosperity. Also, the rules of Tulsi (Tulsi Puja Ke Niyam) must be followed. • It is forbidden to touch the Tulsi plant during Pitru Paksha. While performing the Puja, keep in mind that you should meditate on Tulsi Mata from a distance with folded hands and pray for happiness and peace in life. It is believed that touching Tulsi can make Goddess Lakshmi angry.

• Apart from this, one should not pluck Tulsi leaves even by mistake, because plucking Tulsi leaves is prohibited during Pitru Paksha. It is believed that doing this can make the ancestors angry and can lead to financial problems.
• Tulsi plant has special importance in Sanatan Dharma . It is believed that by worshipping Tulsi in Pitru Paksha, Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, is pleased. Along with this, there are chances of monetary gains, but keep one thing in mind that the person who performs Shradh, Tarpan and Pinddaan of ancestors should not worship Tulsi.
