Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has once again taught a lesson on etiquette inside the House today. Birla on Thursday scolded independent MP Pappu Yadav, a day after reminding Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi about the decorum of the House. He advised Pappu Yadav not to talk with his hand on the shoulder of any Union Minister.

Pappu Yadav was reminded of the decorum of the House

Actually, Pappu Yadav was sitting next to Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu in the House. He was seen talking to the minister and during this he put his hand on Naidu's shoulder. Om Birla warned the independent MP from Purnia in Bihar against putting his hand on the minister's shoulder. Sources said that Yadav was talking about an airport for his parliamentary constituency.

What did Om Birla say to Rahul Gandhi?

Earlier on Wednesday, during the Lok Sabha proceedings, everyone was shocked when Om Birla gave a strict warning to Rahul Gandhi. He asked Rahul to follow the rules of the House. However, Rahul said that he had not done anything and he was not even given a chance to speak.

On Wednesday, the Lok Sabha Speaker had asked the Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi to behave as per the rules and decorum of the House. After this, the Congress MP had alleged that the House was being run in an undemocratic manner and he was not being given a chance to speak. Birla had said after the Zero Hour, "Many father-daughter, mother-daughter and husband-wife have been members of this House and in this context, the Leader of the Opposition is expected to behave as per the rules and traditions of the House."

Meanwhile, BJP IT chief Amit Malviya shared a video of the House proceedings in which Rahul Gandhi can be seen lovingly touching the cheeks of his sister and MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. The video is from the proceedings a few days ago.
