The situation in Pakistan is not improving. Especially the rising inflation on food items (Pakistan Inflation) has taken away bread from people's plates and milk from children's mouths. We are not saying this, rather the prices of flour to milk in Pakistan burdened with debt are telling the picture themselves. People are buying and drinking milk which is more expensive than Rs 200 a litre, while they have to spend 800 Pakistani rupees to buy one kg of flour.   

The price of one litre of milk increased to Rs 210

Milk prices in Pakistan have crossed Rs 200. According to the report of ARY News, inflation has made people miserable in Pakistan, which is facing an economic crisis. Giving a green signal to the demands of the Dairy Farmers Association here, Karachi Commissioner has approved the increase in the price of milk by Rs 10 per litre. After this, now people in this Pakistani city have to spend 210 Pakistani rupees for one litre of milk. 

Prices may increase further by Rs 50/litre

The Pakistani people, who are facing a shortage of petrol-diesel, electricity and gas, are getting hurt after injury and all the efforts of the government seem to be failing. According to the report, there was a possibility of an increase in the price of milk by Rs 50 per litre, but it has increased by only Rs 10 per litre. However, citing the increase in the cost of milk production, Dairy Farmers Karachi President Mubasher Qadir Abbasi has also indicated that the problems of the people of the city may increase further and soon the price of milk will increase by another Rs 50 per litre. An increase may be seen. 

Prices from rice to banana and sev are sky high

In Karachi, not only milk but also flour, pulses, rice and banana-sev are becoming scarce. One kg of rice is being sold in the country for Rs 200 to Rs 450 per kg. So, sev is being sold at Rs 100 to Rs 340 per kg and sev at Rs 150 to Rs 400 per kg. There is a huge increase in the prices of food items in Pakistan at a time when the inflation rate in the country has decreased. Pakistan's inflation declined to 17.3 per cent in April, which is the lowest in the last two years.  

The inflation rate was at its peak in May 2023

It is noteworthy that last year in May 2023, inflation was creating havoc in Pakistan and its rate had crossed 38 percent, which was the highest in Asia. If we look at the rise in the prices of food items in Pakistan in the last one year, then according to the government data, in urban areas the prices of tomatoes have increased by 188 per cent, onions by 84 per cent, spices by 49 per cent, sugar by 37 per cent, meat by 22 per cent. It has become costlier by 100 per cent.
