Former Pakistan ISI chief General (Retd) Faiz Hameed was recently arrested in the housing scam case. Now the Pakistani Army will court-martial Hameed.

Meanwhile, Information Minister Ataullah Tarar said on Friday that more people will be arrested in this case. After the arrest of Faiz Hameed, three other retired officers have also been arrested in this case. 

Investigation into Faiz's case is ongoing: Tarar

According to Pakistani newspaper Dawn, Minister Ataullah Tarar said that investigation is going on in the Faiz case. More arrests are likely in this case. He further said that whoever is involved in this corruption will be caught in its ambit. This is not limited to the army only. Whoever has compromised the security of the country will be arrested.

General Faiz was in touch with Imran Khan: Information Minister

Meanwhile, Information Minister Ataullah Tarar welcomed the arrest of three other retired officers in connection with the court martial proceedings against General Faiz. He said that the army institution has given priority to self-accountability.

He claimed General Faiz to be close to former PM Imran Khan. Tarar said that when the no-confidence motion was brought against former Prime Minister Imran Khan, General Faiz was in touch with him even then. He alleged that Imran Khan remained in touch with General Faiz even after going to jail.
