ISRO has finally created history. The European Space Agency's Proba-3 mission has been successfully launched. Earlier on Wednesday, the Indian Space Agency had postponed the launch due to some technical fault. ISRO used PSLV-C59 rocket for the launch.
Let us tell you that Proba-3 is the world's first precision formation fly satellite. Coronagraph and occulter satellites have been sent into space under the Proba-3 mission. These satellites will study the outer atmosphere of the Sun.
will study on corona
The coronagraph weighs 310 kg and the occulter weighs 240 kg. Both satellites will orbit the Earth at a distance of 150 meters from each other and will study the Sun's outer atmosphere, the corona.
The European Space Agency said, 'The corona is hotter than the Sun and this is where the space environment begins. This is an important topic from a scientific point of view.'
Important moment for ISRO
After Aditya L-1, the launch of Proba-3 is also an important milestone for ISRO. Now the world also accepts the strength of ISRO's trusted launcher PSLV. This mission will help ISRO in scientific experiments related to the Sun.
The instruments on both the satellites will analyse the outer atmosphere of the Sun in detail and the satellite will complete one revolution around the Earth in 19 hours. Proba is actually a Latin word, which means - let's try.
The occulter satellite has a device installed which will block the bright disk of the Sun. This process will be like a solar eclipse for the satellite. After this, the corona can be analyzed with the telescope installed in the coronagraph.
