New Delhi: Congratulating volunteers on the historic occasion of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) entering its 100th year of foundation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said it is dedicated to serving the nation. 

On the internet media platform X, Modi shared the link of the annual Vijayadashmi address given by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and said that it is a must listen. Praising this Hindutva organization, Modi said that the resolve and dedication of the Sangh for Maa Bharati will inspire every generation and will fill new energy in realizing the goal of a developed India.

RSS, formed in 1925, is considered the ideological mentor of BJP and its volunteers have played an important role in its organizational development for decades. RSS officials necessarily hold the post of General Secretary (Organization) in the national organization and state units of BJP, who ensure that the organization i.e. BJP works while maintaining ideological coordination and discipline.

On the other hand, Union Home Minister Amit Shah also congratulated the volunteers on the occasion of RSS Foundation Day and said that since its inception, this organization has been doing remarkable work in protecting Indian culture and developing the spirit of patriotism among the youth.

The Sangh was founded on the day of Vijayadashami in 1925

This organization was founded in 1925 on the day of Vijayadashami by Keshav Baliram Hedgewar in Nagpur. Shah wrote on the post - "Heartiest greetings to all the volunteers of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh on its foundation day. This organization is a unique symbol of discipline and patriotism. 

He said that the RSS is empowering every section of the society by intensifying social service activities and preparing patriots dedicated to the welfare of the country through its educational efforts. The Home Minister also wished the countrymen on the occasion of Vijayadashmi.
