Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh on Sunday (30th March). Here he inaugurated a project worth Rs. 33,700 crores. During this, he addressed the people in Bilaspur. In his address, PM congratulated the people of Chhattisgarh for the development work and said that he is moving fast to bring the benefits of development to the people. He said that on this occasion, three lakh poor families of Chhattisgarh are entering their new homes. Here he got a chance to meet the beneficiaries. During this, he felt that the poor families were unable to control their happiness after getting a new house. PM said "We are committed to fulfilling every promise made to the people of Chhattisgarh. It is a matter of great fortune for me to lay the foundation stone and inaugurate projects worth thousands of crores of rupees in Bilaspur on the first day of Navratri." The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone and inaugurated several projects before addressing a public meeting in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. He also flagged off the MEMU train service in the Abhanpur-Raipur section via Mandir Hasaud.

It is a matter of good fortune to come here on the first day of Navratri

PM said, "Today is the first Navratri and Chhattisgarh is the land of Mata Mahamaya. It is also the maternal home of Mata Kaushalya. In such a situation, these nine days dedicated to the mother power are very special for Chhattisgarh and I am fortunate that I have reached here on the first day of Navratri." He said, "A short while ago, the foundation stone and inauguration of projects worth more than Rs 33,700 crore have been done. This includes houses for the poor, schools, roads, railways, electricity, gas pipelines. All these projects are going to provide facilities to the people of Chhattisgarh. Many congratulations to all of you for this development work."

During the meeting in Bilaspur, PM Modi said that it has been 25 years since Chhattisgarh was formed. This is the silver jubilee year of Chhattisgarh. Along with this, it is also the year of Atal Bihari Vajpayee's birth centenary. In such a situation, the government is celebrating it with the resolution of 'We made it and we will improve it'. In the year 2000, the central government of Atal Bihari Vajpayee separated Chhattisgarh from Madhya Pradesh.
