New Delhi. The opposition INDIYA alliance has given a clear message by boycotting the swearing-in ceremony of the NDA government, which has come to power for the third time under the leadership of Narendra Modi, that the political war that has intensified between the ruling party and the opposition during the Lok Sabha election campaign is unlikely to end anytime soon.
The Opposition unanimously decided to stay away from the swearing-in ceremony to express its protest against what it said were Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speeches during the election campaign based on lies and hatred.
Modi behaved in a manner befitting the post of Prime Minister
Justifying the decision of the opposition parties of the NDA alliance not to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the NDA government, high-ranking sources in the Congress said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi continued the series of speeches filled with lies, hatred and social divisions during the election campaign. During this period, he behaved against the dignity of the post of Prime Minister by making vulgar and insulting comments about the opposition parties and their leaders.
Modi does not care about the dignity of the post of Prime Minister- Opposition
He said that this is why there was a consensus among all opposition parties that when Modi has not maintained the dignity of the post of Prime Minister, then they can express their feelings against his behavior by not attending his swearing-in ceremony.
Kharge attended the oath ceremony due to constitutional protocol
Considering the necessity of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge's participation in the ceremony, the allies of the opposition coalition had no objection to it. Kharge is the Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha and there is a constitutional protocol due to which he was compelled to attend the oath ceremony.
