Baghpat News: A case of gang rape of a woman on the pretext of exorcism has come to light in Baghpat. The woman has alleged that a cleric and his companion gang-raped her after making her unconscious on the pretext of exorcising her. On the complaint of the victim, the police have registered a case against four accused including two tantric clerics. Three people have been arrested and sent to jail in this case. While one accused is still absconding.
While complaining to the police, the victim told that her husband is in Tihar Jail in Delhi. Her uncle was also in jail. When he was released, the woman asked him the way to get out of jail, then her uncle told her that he had done exorcism and tantra vidya. Due to which he came out of jail. Believing his words, the woman also came to the tantrik to get exorcised. Then the tantrik Maulana Naseem along with his partner Mehboob raped her. Currently, Baghpat police has arrested all four and sent them to jail.
Rape on the pretext of exorcism
Additional Superintendent of Police says that the victim is a resident of Dola village of Singhawali Ahir police station area. Her husband is lodged in Delhi jail. Her adopted uncle was also lodged in jail with him. When he came out of jail on bail, the woman asked him the way to get out so that she could also get her husband released on bail. The adopted uncle told her that he has a known Tantrik from whom he had got exorcism done, so the woman also said that she should get exorcism done and her adopted uncle took her to a house in Niwada village.
Where two tantric clerics Naseem and Gaffar, residents of Muzaffarnagar district, were already present. They locked the woman in a room and raped her. They told her not to tell anyone about this and her husband will get bail. When the woman reached her home from there, she took her family with her to the police station and registered a case in the police station. At present, the police have arrested the woman's uncle and both the clerics and one accused is still absconding. The woman told the police that these people must have done such things earlier also and if they go to jail, then no other woman will be deceived in future.
