The Government of India has come up with 'Bharatpol' to nab wanted criminals hiding abroad. Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated Bharatpol at Bharat Mandapam on Tuesday at 10.30 am. Let us tell you that on the lines of the world famous Interpol, the CBI has prepared a common portal named Bharatpol. All central investigation agencies like CBI, ED, NIA and police of all states will be included in this portal. Let us know what Bharatpol will do.
What will be the benefit of Bharatpol?
With the help of Bharatpol portal, it will become easier to reach wanted criminals in any kind of terrorist incident, serious crime, narco, cyber crime. Through Bharatpol, all the central agencies and police of various states will be directly connected to each other and there will be good coordination between them.
How was the work done till now?
Generally, wanted criminals commit any kind of crime like terrorist activities, cyber crime, bank fraud and then flee the country and from abroad they commit crimes in India. The latest example of this is gang war. Big gangsters like Goldy Brar, Rohit Godara sometimes from Canada and sometimes from America get gang wars done in India. Khalistanis also commit crimes in India. Till now, if any agency has to bring back any wanted criminal, then for extradition, that agency contacts CBI through mail or letter, in such a situation there is a danger of news getting leaked.
What did Amit Shah say?
Home Minister Amit Shah has said that today is a historic day. Bharatpol portal developed by CBI has been launched. The Home Minister has said that Bharatpol will give a new edge to our investigative agencies by increasing their global reach to fulfill the vision of the Modi government to make India safe for all.
