The very next day of appealing to the Naxalites to surrender, Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah visited the Forward Security Outpost (FOB) to boost the morale of the security force personnel. The security outpost established this year in Gundam, Bijapur, where Shah visited, Naxalites used to take training till last year. The Naxalites had built a memorial for their martyrs here, at the place where the tricolour now flies.
In Gundam, Amit Shah met the local villagers and also inspected the school and the public distribution system shop. Shah inquired from the villagers about the availability of the government's public welfare schemes. Later, during a meeting with the security force personnel, Shah asked them to make efforts to win the hearts of the local villagers along with the operation against the Naxalites.
Shah met those killed in Naxalite violence
Shah said that it is necessary to take the harshest action against armed Naxalites, but it is equally important that no villager becomes a Naxalite in future. Shah told the soldiers that they should take out time to help the children in their studies and use the dispensary available in the camp for the treatment of the villagers as well as make the local people aware about the public welfare schemes of the government.
Before going to Gundam, Amit Shah met the families of the soldiers and common people killed in Naxal violence. During the meeting, reiterating his commitment to completely eradicate the Naxal problem by 31 March 2026, Shah said that after that not even a single drop of blood will be shed in the name of Naxalism on the land of Maa Danteshwari.
Those who surrender are welcome: Shah
Amit Shah said that those who surrender are welcome. The Chhattisgarh government is working on these three fronts - arresting those who do not give up the path of violence and punishing the Naxalites who are hell bent on killing people. It is worth noting that on Sunday, Amit Shah had appealed to the Naxalites from Jagdalpur to give up violence and join the mainstream. Shah had made it clear by meeting the surrendered Naxalites that he had assured the government's support in every difficulty to the Naxalites who give up their weapons.
