Be it open abuse or intimacy in OTT series and movies... the makers are leaving no stone unturned to make the series spicy. Something similar was also seen in the recently released K-drama The Queen Who Crowns.
The much awaited period drama The Queen Who Crowns has been in the news since its release. The K-drama, which has been streaming since January 6 , stars Cha Joo Young, Lee Hyun Wook and Lee Yi Dam in lead roles. Cha Joo Young's intimate scene in the series is making a lot of headlines.
Reaction of stars on nude scenes
Cha Joo Young, who became famous with The Glory , is garnering limelight from the latest series The Queen Who Crowns. Her topless scene has garnered the most attention in the show. Meanwhile, the actress has made a claim that has blown everyone's senses. Cha Joo Young claims that she has not filmed this scene. This is a CGI created scene.
According to a report by Munhwa Ilbo, both lead actors Cha Joo Young and Lee Yi Dam were unaware of the topless scene as the producers did not provide details about the nude scene in the script. It added that the actors were not informed about the scene until they sat down for a storyboard discussion just before shooting.
Scene shot with body double
According to reports, the nude scene was CGI created. The stars shown in the scene were actually body doubles. The main lead stars played the roles while clothed, with the body doubles' bodies being added to the actors' faces in the post-production stage. The show's director, Kim Sang Ho, said that the channel had demanded that the level of nudity be increased and neither he nor the production did so. He said, "I don't think I can speak directly on the matter."
Currently, this issue is hot in the South Korean film industry. It is streaming on the OTT platform Viki.
