Milkipur ByPoll Results: Bharatiya Janata Party seems to be moving towards a big victory in the by-election for Milkipur assembly seat of Ayodhya. BJP is leading from the first round itself. By the time 18 rounds of counting have been completed, the margin of victory between the two parties has become very high. After which BJP seems to be moving towards victory here. On the other hand, Samajwadi Party candidate Ajit Prasad has lagged behind badly. With this victory, BJP has avenged its Ayodhya defeat in Milkipur.
The way Samajwadi Party's Avdhesh Prasad won the Faizabad seat in the Lok Sabha elections after the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is being seen as a big setback for the BJP. Despite all the development work in Ayodhya, the party had to face defeat, even BJP itself could not believe this. Samajwadi Party made full use of this victory and left no stone unturned to rub salt on BJP's wounds by calling Avdhesh Prasad the King of Ayodhya.
CM Yogi took revenge for the defeat.
Ever since the Ayodhya defeat, BJP was feeling the pangs of defeat. Milkipur seat became vacant after Awadhesh Prasad became MP. After which the party started preparing for the by-election. CM Yogi himself took charge of Milkipur, after which he made several visits one after the other. Despite the defeat, he kept visiting Ayodhya and Milkipur. He sent six ministers of UP to Milkipur and both Deputy CMs Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak were constantly keeping an eye on all the strategies.
BJP put its bet on Chandrabhanu Paswan for this seat, ignoring all the big leaders, due to which a large number of Dalit people were seen joining BJP. CM Yogi also campaigned vigorously in support of his candidate. While on the other hand, SP President Akhilesh Yadav was seen active in the last days of the election. The result of which was that within 9 months, BJP not only defeated SP in Ayodhya but also snatched the Milkipur seat which was earlier occupied by SP.
