Kochi.  The case of organ trafficking in Kerala is gaining momentum. Now the alleged mastermind of the international human trafficking network involved in this case has been arrested. Police has given this information. It is being told that 41-year-old Ballamkonda Ram Prasad is the mastermind of this case and he was hiding in a hotel in Hyderabad.

Transactions were done regarding the kidney

Ram Prasad, a resident of Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh, also known as Prathapan, was arrested by the Special Investigation Team of Kerala Police.

Let us tell you that transactions related to kidney transplant have been done through Andhra residents. It was claimed that Pratapan first came in contact with the organ smuggling mafia to donate his kidney, but due to suffering from some diseases, his organ was not taken.

Contact was going on with Iran

Later, he joined a group and became the main person of that group. He contacted organ recipients through social media, police claimed. It is being told that donors from India are sent to Iran, where they are received by a person named Sabith Nasar. Sabith Nasar is already in police custody.

After donating the organs, the donors were sent back to India by Nassar. Apart from Nassar and Prathapan, the police have also arrested a man named Sajith Shyam, who is suspected of controlling the gang's money.

Nasar, a native of Valappadu in Thrissur district, was detained from the Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) two weeks ago following a tip-off from central agencies.
