Shahid Kapoor is the son of Neelima Azeem and Pankaj Kapoor. Pankaj married Neelima in 1979, but their relationship broke up within five years. Then in 1988, he married Supriya Pathak with whom he has two children - Ruhan and Sana. Shahid has a good bond with his step-siblings as well as his stepmother.
How is Supriya's bond with Shahid?
Recently, Supriya Pathak herself has revealed that she shares a good bond with Shahid Kapoor. In a conversation with BBC, Supriya said, "He is my son. Shahid and I share a normal bond like a mother shares with her son. He is truly my son. Ruhaan, Shahid, Sana, they are all my children. I can fight with them, love them, laugh with them, I am friends with all of them. I am friends with all three of them."
Supriya Pathak's first meeting with Shahid Kapoor
Supriya Pathak had earlier spoken about her first meeting with Shahid in a conversation with Twinkle Khanna. She had said, "He was very warm and neither did he react badly towards me nor did I. So when we met we liked each other instantly. And I think that's how it went. Though there were times when he was not with us, so whenever he would come and we would behave normally with each other."
