Mirzapur. Three people who had gone for a morning walk in front of Chunar Railway Crossing on Varanasi Mirzapur National Highway were crushed by a truck, in which two died on the spot. While the third person died during treatment in the trauma center. After the accident, the driver fled with the truck. Police is searching for him.
On Thursday morning, as usual, 70-year-old Shukalu Yadav, 56-year-old Lal Bahadur Verma and 55-year-old Lallan Verma, residents of Usmanpur, went for a walk on the highway from their home.
At 5:15 in the morning, the three were returning home after a walk, when a speeding truck going from Varanasi to Mirzapur crushed them and fled towards Mirzapur.
Lal Bahadur Verma and Shukalu Yadav died on the spot in the accident. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and took the seriously injured Lallan Verma to the community health center for treatment, from where he was referred to the trauma center.
