Maharashtra Weather Update: The weather in Maharashtra continues to fluctuate. Wednesday (December 4) was the hottest day of December in the last 16 years. Now many districts are cloudy with light to moderate rain. According to the Meteorological Department, many districts of the state are likely to remain cloudy today (Saturday, December 7). Along with this, the minimum temperature is likely to be 24.99 degrees and the maximum temperature is likely to be 28.35 degrees Celsius.  

Today the minimum temperature in Mumbai is 21 degrees and maximum temperature is 33 degrees, today the minimum temperature in Kolhapur is 22 degrees and maximum temperature is 29 degrees, today the minimum temperature in Pune is 19 degrees and maximum temperature is 33 degrees, today the minimum temperature in Aurangabad is 20 degrees and maximum temperature is 29 degrees, today the minimum temperature in Mahabaleshwar is 15 degrees and maximum temperature is 23 degrees Celsius.

Chances of rain in these districts
According to the Meteorological Department, today Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Mahabaleshwar, Parbhani, Solpur districts may witness cloudy weather with light to moderate rain. The Meteorological Department says that a thin layer of fog is covering many parts of Mumbai city. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the air quality in various areas is in the 'moderate' category at 183. Amidst the fog, people were seen taking morning walks in Nariman Point and other areas. Construction work is considered to be a major reason for air pollution in Mumbai.

Let us tell you that December 4 was the hottest December day in Mumbai in the last 16 years. The maximum temperature recorded that day was 37.3 degrees Celsius. Scientist Sushma Nair of IMD Mumbai had told that Kalina Observatory had recorded the temperature of Mumbai as 37.7 degrees Celsius on December 5, 2008. She told that on November 29, the minimum temperature of Mumbai was recorded as 16.5 degrees Celsius, which was the lowest temperature in November in the last eight years.
