Prayagraj News Today: Before the Maha Kumbh, the ghats of Kumbh city Prayagraj will be seen in their grand form. The UP government has revived the ancient ghats of Kumbh city Prayagraj on the lines of Baba Vishwanath's city Kashi. It will be ready before the arrival of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Prayagraj.
The activities of the devotees and tourists coming to Maha Kumbh take place on the ghats of Ganga and Yamuna. Devotees take a dip on these ghats. This time the Yogi government has rejuvenated these ghats to give a grand, divine and new look to Maha Kumbh.
The seven ghats of Ganga and Yamuna rivers are being renovated
by the Construction and Design Division of Jal Nigam. Before the Maha Kumbh, the ghats are being renovated at a cost of Rs. 11.01 crores and this work will be completed before the arrival of Prime Minister Modi on December 11.
The 7 ghats of Ganga and Yamuna river which are being rejuvenated include Balua Ghat, Kalighat, Rasulabad Ghat, Chhatnag Ghat Jhunsi, Nageshwar Ghat Jhunsi, Mauj Giri Ghat and Purana Arail Ghat. The work of beautification and rejuvenation of all these ghats has been completed. Finishing work will also be completed by 11 December.
All facilities will be available on the Ghats.
The Ghats are being beautified so that devotees and tourists get world class facilities. Green belts have also been developed to make these Ghats beautiful and clean. Like Kashi, many facilities like chhatri, high mast, drinking water have been arranged on these Ghats.
When is Maha Kumbh?
The Uttar Pradesh government is leaving no stone unturned to make the Maha Kumbh, which is held every 12 years, grand and divine. This time Maha Kumbh will start from 13 January 2025 and will continue till 26 February. Prayagraj Mela Authority has expressed hope that this time more than 40 crore devotees from the country and abroad will take a holy dip in the Maha Kumbh.
