The Maha Kumbh Mela is now slowly moving towards its conclusion. In view of the possibility of increasing crowd in the last week of the fair, the Railways has made special arrangements. In view of the possibility of increasing number of pilgrims, 'holding areas' have been created at various railway stations. The ministry gave this information on Thursday. The Railways has created these 'holding areas' (places for passengers to stay) at various stations at a time when 18 people died in a stampede at New Delhi Railway Station on February 15. 

Key Arrangements at Railway Stations

1. Additional Trains and Coaches – Extra trains have been introduced, and more coaches have been added to existing services to accommodate the surge in passengers.
2. Temporary Waiting Areas – Dedicated waiting zones have been set up for travelers, providing shelter and basic amenities.
3. Increased Security Measures – Additional police personnel, CCTV surveillance, and crowd control teams have been deployed to maintain order.
4. Help Desks and Signage – Special kiosks and digital boards have been installed to guide passengers and provide real-time train updates.
5. Medical Assistance – First-aid centers and emergency response teams are stationed at key railway junctions.
