Lok Sabha Election 2024: Taking into consideration the speeches of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, the Election Commission (ECI) has sent notices to BJP and Congress seeking their reply. The Election Commission has sought answers regarding the violation of the code of conduct. ECIA has taken note of the alleged MCC (Model Code of Conduct) violation by Prime Minister Modi and Rahul Gandhi . Both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress accused the party of creating hatred and division based on religion, caste, community, or language.
According to news agency ANI , the Election Commission has sought answers from both the parties by 11 am on April 29. The Election Commission has served a notice to BJP President JP Nadda on complaints of violation of the Model Code of Conduct by PM Modi during campaigning in Rajasthan and has sought a reply from the party. Apart from this, the reply has also been sought from Mallikarjun Kharge.
According to PTI, the Election Commission has sought a reply from the BJP on the complaint of Congress and other opposition parties regarding the speech given by Prime Minister Modi in Banswara, Rajasthan. At the same time, the Election Commission has taken note of the alleged violation of the model code of conduct by Prime Minister Modi and Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi.
Answer sought by 29th April

"Political parties have to take primary and increasing responsibility for the conduct of their candidates, especially star campaigners. Campaign speeches by people in high positions are more likely to have serious consequences," the Election Commission said in its notice.
Let us tell you that the elections for the 18th Lok Sabha in the country have started from April 19. After this, 6 more phases of voting will be held on 26 April, 7 May, 13 May, 20 May, 25 May and 1 June. The counting of votes will take place on June 4.
