New Delhi: Election campaigning in Haryana has ended and now voting will take place on October 5. Counting of votes will take place on October 8. Meanwhile, as per the instructions of the Election Commission, liquor shops will remain closed in the state due to the elections.
This order of liquor ban will be applicable in Haryana as well as in the areas of other states adjoining it. As per the order of the Chief Election Officer of Haryana, liquor shops will remain closed in the areas of UP, Delhi, Rajasthan, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand adjoining Haryana.

Let us tell you that the shops falling within three kilometers of Haryana's border in other states will remain closed. The shops will remain closed from Thursday evening to Saturday evening. After this, there will be a ban on liquor sale in these areas even on the day of voting on October 8.
Earlier on Wednesday, on Gandhi Jayanti, liquor ban was imposed across the country. In such a situation, liquor shops will remain closed for four days this month in Haryana and surrounding areas.
