Thrissur (Kerala),  Binoy Thomas of Kerala also died in the massive fire in Kuwait. Thomas, a resident of Chavakkad, had arrived in Kuwait a few days ago to fulfill his family's dream of having a house and better living conditions.

He died after being caught in a massive fire in a residential building in Kuwait on June 14. Now the Kerala government has announced a big relief to the family of the deceased Binoy.

Kerala government will provide big help

The Kerala government on Sunday promised to provide a house under its Life Mission housing scheme. At present, Thomas' family lives in a temporary house built on a three-cent plot. Revenue Minister K Rajan and Social Justice Minister R Bindu met the family members on Sunday and consoled them. 

Both the Ministers assured that the Government will take care of the family of Thomas and provide all possible help to ensure that they receive the assistance announced by various organisations without any lapse.

House will be given under Life Mission Scheme

Rajan told reporters here that the family has already applied for a house under the Life Mission scheme and steps would be taken to allot it at the earliest. A special council meeting of the Chavakkad Municipality would be called for this, he said. 

Minister Bindu said steps would be taken to provide a job to Thomas' son. According to officials, 49 people were killed in a fire at the Al-Mangaf building in Kuwait on June 12. They said 45 of the total casualties were Indians.
