Method of worship of Karwa Chauth
On the day of Karva Chauth fast, wake up before sunrise and take a bath. After this, wear new clothes and meditate on God and take a vow to fast. Make a panel with ochre on the wall of the temple at home and draw a picture of Karva. Now during the evening worship, place a stool at the place of the panel and spread a red cloth on it and place a picture of Shiva-Parvati.
Now add diya, sindoor, rice, kumkum, roli and sweets etc. in the puja plate. Also, keep water in the pot. During the puja, offer 16 makeup items to Maa Parvati and worship Shiva-Shakti as per the rituals. Listen to the story of Karva Chauth at the end of the puja. After the moon rises at night, see the moon through a sieve and worship Chandradev. After offering water to the moon, break your fast by drinking water.
