Mysuru: The Lokayukta police on Monday issued a notice to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in the Mysuru land scam case. The Lokayukta police have summoned CM Siddaramaiah for questioning in the MUDA land allotment case on November 6. They had questioned the chief minister's wife Parvathy B M, who is also an accused in the case, on October 25. A senior Lokayukta official said that we have asked the chief minister to appear on Wednesday morning.

Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah said that I have been issued a notice by the Mysore Lokayukta regarding MUDA. I will go to the Mysore Lokayukta on November 6.

CM Siddaramaiah, his wife, brother-in-law Mallikarjuna Swamy, Devaraju and others were named in the FIR filed by the Mysuru-based Lokayukta police on September 27.

The hearing has been adjourned for four weeks.

At the same time, the Supreme Court on Monday adjourned for four weeks the hearing on the petition against the withdrawal of consent given to the CBI to investigate the disproportionate assets case against Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar.

Appeal against the order of the High Court

A bench of Justices Surya Kant and Ujjal Bhuyan adjourned the hearing after Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said the CBI has also filed an appeal against the Karnataka High Court order.

The Supreme Court was hearing a petition filed by BJP MLA Basanagouda R Patil (Yatnal), who has challenged the August 29 order of the Karnataka High Court dismissing his plea against withdrawal of consent.

During the hearing, Mehta informed the bench that the CBI's appeal has not been listed yet, while senior advocate Ranjit Kumar, appearing for Shivakumar, sought time to file a reply in the case. On September 17, the Supreme Court had issued notice to Shivakumar and the state government on the MLA's petition.

The state government had withdrawn the consent given to the agency to investigate the disproportionate assets case against Shivakumar. On August 29, the High Court had said that the CBI's petition challenging the decision of the Congress-led government was not maintainable.
