Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced his resignation on Monday. He said that internal differences mean that he will not be the most qualified choice for the next election. America's newly elected President Donald Trump has reacted to Trudeau's resignation.

US President-elect Donald Trump said many Canadians wanted to become the 51st US state. The US could no longer afford the huge trade deficit and subsidies that Canada needed to survive.

He further said that Justin Trudeau knew this and resigned. If Canada had merged with the US, there would have been no tariffs, taxes would have been very low and it would have been completely safe from the threat of Russian-Chinese ships. How great it would have been if it had joined together.

New Democratic Party leader Jagmeet Singh also surrounded

Jagmeet Singh, leader of Canada's opposition New Democratic Party, said, "The problem is not just Justin Trudeau but every minister who makes decisions. Every Liberal MP looks down on all Canadians who are worried about high prices or collapsing health care. Liberals should not get a second chance, no matter who the leader is."

The countdown for Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who is busy running an anti-India agenda, started when last year Trudeau alleged in the Canadian Parliament that he had credible evidence of India's involvement in the murder of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Since then, the relations between the two countries had reached the worst point. However, now after the announcement of resignation, there is hope of improvement in the bilateral relations of the two countries.

Last year, a major diplomatic row erupted after Canada named the Indian High Commissioner and other diplomats as persons linked to Nijjar's murder. India has rejected all the allegations of Canada outright, calling them absurd and motivated and has accused Ottawa of providing shelter to extremist and anti-India elements in the country.

Trudeau is responsible for bad relations between India and Canada

Regarding the killing of Nijjar, in October 2024, Trudeau admitted to the Canadian foreign interference inquiry that India was seeking evidence to support these allegations while his government had only provided intelligence and no concrete evidence.

In this regard, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that Trudeau alone is responsible for the damage this careless behavior has caused to India-Canada relations. During this time, temples along with Hindus have also been targeted by Khalistani extremists in Canada.

After this, in November, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote in strong words on Xpost that I strongly condemn the deliberate attack on the Hindu temple. The cowardly attempts to intimidate our diplomats are equally horrifying. Such violent acts will never weaken India's resolve.

We expect the Canadian government to ensure justice and uphold the rule of law. Experts described PM Modi's post as a warning not only to Khalistani terrorists but also to the Canadian government.
