
Justice Yashwant Verma: The fire in the house of Justice Yashwant Verma of Delhi High Court has fuelled the cash scandal. It is claimed that a huge amount of cash was found in Verma's house. There is a demand for action in this matter and the matter has reached the Supreme Court. Opposition parties also raised this issue in the Rajya Sabha on Friday (21 March).
Meanwhile, the Delhi Fire Department has issued a note. According to the department, a fire broke out on Holi at the government residence at 30 Tughlaq Road in Delhi. The fire broke out at around 11:30 pm. According to the note issued by the department, the information about the fire was received at 11:35 pm. Justice Verma was not at home at that time.
After extinguishing the fire and assessing the damage, the fire department team left Justice Verma's residence at 1:56 pm.
'No mention of cash'
After the fire incident, two fire brigade vehicles reached the spot. During the fire in the house, stationery and household items in the store room were burnt. However, there is no mention of any cash in this report of the fire department.
It is claimed that while investigating the damage caused by the fire, the department allegedly found a large amount of cash. The information reached the Home Ministry and the Home Ministry gave the information to Chief Justice of India Sanjeev Khanna.
Important comment of Supreme Court
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court on Friday (March 21) said that misinformation and rumors are being spread about the incident related to Delhi High Court judge Yashwant Verma. The Supreme Court statement said that the proposal to transfer Justice Verma to Allahabad High Court is independent and separate from the internal investigation process.
