Jammu Latest News: Amid the continuous terrorist attacks in the Union Territory of Kashmir, the DIG of Jammu Range visited Samba and Kathua areas on Sunday. He reviewed the alertness of the security forces deployed there. Jammu Range DIG Shiv Kumar Sharma instructed the security forces deployed there to remain alert.  

DIG Shiv Kumar Sharma met the security forces deployed in both the districts as well as the jawans of the Special Operations Group of Jammu and Kashmir Police who are conducting anti-terror operations there. The DIG also reviewed the preparedness of the security forces deployed on the spot for anti-terror operations. He also directed the officers to increase the security of important institutions. 

Effective action should be taken in these cases

During his visit, Jammu Range DIG Shiv Kumar Sharma also reviewed the security situation on the state's border with Punjab. He asked the police officers to remain alert in view of security and other aspects. He asked them to take immediate and effective action in any suspicious case. 

While giving instructions to the officers and jawans of Jammu and Kashmir Police posted in both the districts, the DIG said that Jammu and Kashmir DGP Nalin Prabhat has already given orders that the security forces posted in the terror-hit areas should be on high alert. He said that the officers and jawans posted in these areas should always be ready for any operation. 

Instructions to conduct regular search operation 

The DIG of Jammu Range also instructed the security forces deployed in both the districts to conduct continuous search operations in the forests and border areas of both the districts. He said that terrorists have been seen several times in Sambhar Kathua in recent days. In such a situation, no information should be taken lightly. 

Referring to the upcoming festival season, the DIG directed that during this festival season, the police should conduct regular checking of crowded areas and nomads.
