New Delhi: The JPC meeting is going on regarding the Waqf Amendment Bill . However, there are more reports of squabbles between leaders and less conversation in the meeting. Today, a JPC meeting was called once again.

Many members of opposition parties decided to walk out of the meeting in the middle. Opposition members have raised objections to the report of the CEO of Delhi Waqf Board.

 Why did the leaders walk out?

The members who walked out said that the Delhi Waqf Board administrator made changes in the presentation without the knowledge of the Delhi government. Those who walked out of the meeting included AAP MP Sanjay Singh, DMK's Mohammed Abdullah, Congress' Naseer Hussain and Mohammad Javed.

The walkout leaders claimed that MCD commissioner and Delhi Waqf Board administrator Ashwani Kumar made changes in the initial report of the Waqf Board without the approval of Chief Minister Atishi. The meeting was chaired by BJP MP Jagdambika Pal.

The committee had summoned representatives of the Delhi Waqf Board, Haryana Waqf Board, Punjab Waqf Board and Uttarakhand Waqf Board to record oral evidence on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024.

TMC leader had broken a bottle in the last meeting

Let us tell you that earlier in the last meeting held on October 22, there was a heated debate between BJP MP Abhijit Gangopadhyay and TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee.

Kalyan Banerjee allegedly threw a glass bottle in anger during the meeting. His hand got injured due to the throwing of the bottle. According to the information, he got four stitches on his hand. After this, Kalyan Banerjee was expelled from the meeting for a day.
