New Delhi: Israel broke the back of the world's most powerful non-governmental organization Hezbollah in just 5 days. But it was not so easy to do this. Israel had been making a big plan against Hezbollah for the last 11 months.

Israel declared war against Hezbollah on 23 September and killed its leader Hassan Nasrallah on 27 September. Not only this, Israel has also killed many commanders of Hezbollah so far. Let's read the inside story of Israel's plan...

The war started from here

On 7 October 2023, Hamas launched a major attack on Israel. In this attack, 1200 Israeli citizens lost their lives and 251 were taken hostage. With this, Israel declared war against Hamas. Meanwhile, in protest against Israeli attacks in Gaza, Hezbollah also started targeting northern Israel. The result was that about 65 thousand Israeli citizens had to leave their homes.

Focused only on Hamas for 11 months

For the last 11 months, Israel worked very cautiously. It put its full focus on eliminating Hamas in Gaza. The Israeli army on the northern border only defended Hezbollah's attacks. It knew that if aggression was shown against Hezbollah now, it might have to fight a war on many fronts.

Mossad conducts intelligence surveillance of Hezbollah

Meanwhile, Israel continued to break the back of Hamas in Gaza. Its leader Ismail Haniyya was killed in Iran's capital Tehran. Ismail's death shattered Hamas' morale. During the last 11 months of war against Hamas, Mossad had started intelligence surveillance of Hezbollah, because it knew that after Hamas, this organization posed the biggest threat to Israel.

Hezbollah detected the spying

In February, Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah suspected Israeli espionage. After this, he ordered all his fighters to use pagers and walkie-talkies instead of mobile phones. But Mossad went two steps ahead of him. It had planted explosives on five thousand pagers of Hezbollah in February itself.

Every move was under surveillance

Mossad was keeping an eye on every move of Hezbollah. Where are the weapons kept? Where are the anti-ship missiles? Not only this, a complete list of Hezbollah's commanders was prepared. Where are the hideouts of major commanders including Hassan Nasrallah? Mossad gathered this information.

Israel started the war on this pretext

On the other hand, when Hamas became very weak in Gaza, Israel decided to open a front against Hezbollah. The reason given by Israel for attacking Hezbollah was that unless it is eliminated, the safe return of 65 thousand people to their homes in North Israel is not possible.

Pager attack created fear

On 17 and 18 October, Mossad blew up pagers, walkie-talkies, laptops and solar panels all over Israel. More than 50 people lost their lives and more than 4000 were injured. The special thing is that 1500 Hamas fighters became disabled. Some lost their eyesight and some lost their hands. This incident created fear among Hezbollah fighters. At the same time, Israel made them realize its power that everything around you is our target.

communication network destroyed

The explosion of pagers and walkie-talkies completely destroyed Hezbollah's communication system. Before Hezbollah could establish communication between its fighters, Israel declared a new phase of the war. From September 23, Israeli fighter planes began targeting Hezbollah's bases.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah had no means left to communicate and coordinate with its fighters. Israel took advantage of this. In just five days from September 23 to September 27, Israel destroyed Hezbollah's top leadership.

First attack on Hezbollah's weapons

A specific pattern is seen in Israel's attacks. In fact, Israel has targeted Hezbollah's military depots the most. Israel knows that Hezbollah has extremely lethal weapons. If these are not destroyed in time, Israel may have to suffer huge losses.

broke his back by killing the commanders

Israel's second most important strategy was to destroy the morale of the organization by killing top commanders. Israel first killed Aziz Unit's commander Mohammad Nassar. After this, Nassar Unit's commander Sami Taleb Abdullah was killed. Rocket and Missile Division's commander Ibrahim Kubaisi was killed in Beirut.

Commanders were killed as per the strategy

Israel limited Hezbollah's ability to carry out air attacks by killing Ibrahim Muhammad, the commander who fired rockets at Israel. After this, it killed Ibrahim Aqeel, the commander of the Radwan Force. Before that, Fuad Shukar, the head of the strategic unit, was killed.

Israel was being attacked from Hezbollah's southern front. Israel first killed the head of this front, Ali Karaki. Due to his death, Hezbollah's attacks on Israel decreased drastically.

After this, Commander Wissam al-Tawil was killed. Abu Hassan Samir, who trained the Radwan Force, was killed. By killing Mohammad Hussain, the commander of the aerial unit that monitored Israel, Israel greatly weakened the strength of the organization.

The biggest blow fell on Hezbollah

On 27 September, Israel gave the biggest blow to Hezbollah. The IDF targeted Hezbollah's underground headquarters in Lebanon's capital Beirut. Hezbollah's leader Hassan Nasallah was killed in this attack. Hassan's death is definitely a psychological victory for Israel. At the same time, it gave a big blow to Hezbollah's morale.

Israel acknowledged- powerful enemy

Israel's Chief of Staff himself believes that Hezbollah is a powerful enemy. It has not even used most of its weapons yet. He believes that if a ground attack comes, Hezbollah will pose a greater challenge to Israel than Hamas.

Nasrallah was being spied upon for a year

The Israeli army said in its statement that for the past one year, Hassan Nasrallah's every move was under surveillance. Where does he stay and where does he go? His hideout was attacked only after receiving accurate intelligence.

Israel suffered less losses than expected

The Israeli army IDF itself estimated that in case of war, Hezbollah is capable of firing thousands of rockets daily. Hundreds of people can die in these attacks. But it was the result of the planning of Israel's intelligence agency Mossad that Israel did not have to suffer as much loss as was estimated. 26 Israeli civilians and 22 soldiers have lost their lives in the war with Hezbollah.

Who suffered how much loss?

More than 500 Hezbollah fighters have lost their lives in the 11-month conflict. From October 7 to September 20, a total of 10,214 attacks have taken place between Israel and Hezbollah. Israel carried out about 81 percent i.e. 8,313 attacks. 752 people lost their lives in Lebanon in these attacks. Hezbollah took responsibility for 1,901 attacks. As a result, 65 thousand Israeli citizens had to leave their homes.
