Israel Hamas Ceasefire.  An agreement has been reached between Israel and Hamas to stop the 15-month-long Gaza war. Under the agreement, there will be a ceasefire for the first six weeks. Israeli security forces will gradually withdraw from Gaza and Hamas will release the hostages.

In return, Palestinian citizens held in Israeli custody will also be released. As soon as the news of the agreement came out, the people of Gaza took to the streets and started celebrating.

Some people are not happy with the agreement

It is worth noting that some people in Israel are not happy with this agreement. A group called Tikva Forum says that it would have been better if the war against Hamas had continued instead of this agreement on the release of hostages. Let us tell you that the organization called Tikva Forum is influenced by right-wing ideology.

Eitan, the son of Tzivka Mor, co-founder of the Kava Forum, is also held hostage by Hamas. He says that even though my son is held hostage by Hamas, he too would want Israel to be safe first. If my son had not been held hostage today, he would have been an Israeli soldier.

Israel believes that at least 98 people are still held hostage in Gaza. Dozens of them are feared dead.

The ceasefire agreement will be done in three phases

Let us tell you that the ceasefire agreement will happen in three phases. In the first phase, there will be withdrawal of Israeli soldiers from the densely populated areas of Gaza and the return of hostages held by Hamas. At the same time, hundreds of Palestinian prisoners in Israel will be released. Women, children and the elderly will be released first.

In the second phase, the remaining hostages will be released.

The third phase will involve rebuilding Gaza and repatriating the remains of hostages who died in captivity.

On 7 October 2023, Hamas terrorists attacked Israel, killing about 1,200 people and taking more than 250 hostages. After this, Israel waged a war against Hamas in Gaza. So far more than 46 thousand people have died in the attacks carried out by the Israeli army.
