New Delhi. Due to technical problems in American tech giant Microsoft and cyber security company Crowdstrike, services in many sectors across the world were affected. Along with this, it has also had a wide impact on the public life of India. Due to this, passengers have faced a lot of problems due to disruption of more than two hundred flight services in many cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore.

Microsoft Windows users complained that their system screen was turning blue. Also, people kept complaining on social media that their system was showing the Blue Screen of Death error due to which the system was suddenly shutting down or had to be restarted.

Services affected in India due to Microsoft outage

Due to technical problems in Microsoft's Windows operating system, the work of broker agencies related to the stock market in India has also been affected, due to which problems have arisen in share trading. Along with this, the country's largest car company Maruti Suzuki, Honda and some other automobile companies have also said that their work has been affected. Some banks in the country were slightly affected.

Airlines

 

Several airlines in India reported that a Microsoft outage has affected their systems across the network. Air India said its digital systems have been temporarily affected due to the current Microsoft outage resulting in delays.

At the same time, IndiGo told its passengers that our systems across the network are affected by an ongoing problem with Microsoft Azure, resulting in increased waiting times at our contact centers and airports. You may experience slow check-in and long queues.

Akasa Air and SpiceJet also reported similar disruptions. Akasa Air said in a post on X that due to a technical problem with our service provider, some of our online services, including booking, check-in and managing booking services, will be temporarily unavailable. However, late in the night, Akasa reported that operations were fine.

SpiceJet posted on X that we are currently experiencing a technical issue in providing updates on flight disruptions. Our team is actively working to resolve the issue. We regret any inconvenience caused and will inform you once the issue is resolved. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Users in the country faced trouble using various Microsoft apps and services. The services affected included Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Azure.

Instagram, Amazon

According to outage tracking website Downdetector, some users also complained that they were facing issues while using the following apps: Instagram, Amazon, Gmail, State Bank of India, ICICI Bank, Bank of India, and HDFC Bank.
