Prayagraj News: For smooth movement of passengers during Durga Puja, Diwali and Chhath Puja, North Central Railway will operate 524 special trains starting from the zone between 01 October to 30 November this year. It is known that every year special trains are run by the railways on the occasion of festivals. This year the number of these special trains has been increased significantly.
It is worth noting that during Durga Puja, Diwali and Chhath festivals, lakhs of passengers travel by train. To provide smooth and convenient travel to the huge crowd of passengers, the Railways has made preparations to operate special trains this year as well. These special trains will transport a large number of passengers to their destinations.
More trips this year
Last year too, a large number of festival special trains were operated by North Central Railway and the trains originating from this zone made a total of 189 trips, through which a large number of passengers got the facility of comfortable travel. This year it is 335 trips more than last year. Apart from this, during this period, 2242 trips of passing trains will also serve the stations falling in the area of the zone, i.e. the passengers of the zone will also be able to avail their facilities.
It is known that every year on the occasion of Durga Puja, Diwali and Chhath Puja, a large number of people from all over the country migrate to Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. For the people of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, these festivals not only hold religious significance, but are also an important occasion to meet families. Every year, due to the rush of passengers during festivals, most trains have waiting lists. Keeping this in mind, the Railways is operating additional special trains on the occasion of festivals this year.
