New Delhi: There are no signs of improvement in relations between Canada and India. The tension between the two countries after the murder of pro-Khalistan terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar is not ending. The situation is also not improving due to Canada's PM Justin Trudeau viewing diplomatic relations with India from the point of view of domestic politics.
In this sequence, Trudeau, who arrived in Vientiane, the capital of Laos, on Friday to participate in the East Asia Conference in Laos, claimed after meeting PM Modi that he again raised the issue of the killing of Canadian citizens and that it is a very high priority for the Canadian government. On the other hand, sources in the Indian Foreign Ministry have said that no specific discussion took place in the brief meeting between Modi and Trudeau.
India flatly denied
At the same time, the Ministry of External Affairs has also clarified that bilateral relations cannot improve until Canada takes action against those elements acting against Indian interests. According to sources in the Ministry of External Affairs, no significant talks have taken place between Modi and Trudeau.

India hopes that the activities of anti-India Khalistani groups will not take place on Canadian soil and strict action will be taken against those who are promoting violence, extremism and terrorism in India. The growing nexus of such forces with drug traffickers and organized crime gangs is also not good for the interests of Canada.
Trudeau made the allegation in Parliament
India gives importance to its relations with Canada, but it cannot improve until the Canadian government takes concrete action against those involved in anti-India activities and gangs engaged in spreading misinformation, hatred and violence against India. It may be noted that Trudeau had made a sensational allegation in his Parliament last year that Indian agencies had got pro-Khalistan leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar killed.
After this, diplomatic relations between India and Canada have been deteriorating continuously. The Indian government had instructed Canada to reduce the number of diplomats from here. On the other hand, there has still been no significant reduction in incidents against Indian interests in Canada. The Canadian government has also not been able to take action against those who threatened to kill Indian leaders. It is said that Trudeau is doing this because of his internal politics.
